Brianne
Leary, who played Officer Sindy Cahill on CHiPs, was born
in Providence, Rhode Island on 28 July 1959. Brianne attended
Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona where she was
a star gymnast placing in the top 3 in the Arizona State Competition
in 1974.
One of Brianne’s first appearances on network television
was as a contestant on the Match Game in 1976. She proved
herself to be quite a good player winning over $2600. After
gaining some notoriety on CHiPs, she once again appeared on
Match Game but as a guest panelist.
At the conclusion of her work on CHiPs, Brianne found work
doing guest spots on various shows including Simon and Simon,
Love Boat, and Voyagers. During the mid-90’s, she co-hosted
Walt Disney World Inside Out. She also kept busy as the co-creator
and producer of the kids show Stickin’ Around which
debuted in Canada on 14 August 1996.
As the world entered the 21st century, Brianne’s focus
turned to reporting the news. She traveled to Afghanistan
as a reporter for CNN to report on the war taking place there.
She has hosted several made for television documentaries,
has been seen as the Entertainment Co-Anchor on Good Day New
York and worked as a correspondent for Good Morning America.
She has also hosted Petsburg, USA for Animal Planet, Best
for Less for the Fine Living Channel, and Celebrity Wings
for the Discovery Network.
Her love of animals lead her to invent a dog grooming tool
called the “Paw Plunger,” which is a device used
to safely remove dirt from dogs paws.
Brianne lives in New York City with her dog and is working
on her autobiography.
