Randi Oakes, who played Officer Bonnie Clark from 1978 through 1982 was born Betty Lee Oakes on 19 August 1951 in Sumner, Iowa. Before her days on CHiPs, she was a top fashion model and landed small parts on Battlestar Galactica, BJ and the Bear, and Barnaby Jones. After CHiPs left prime time in 1983, Randi continued to act in guest roles on Fantasy Island and Love Boat.

In 1981, she married actor Gregory Harrison whom she had met on Battle of the Network Stars where she was on the team representing the NBC network. Wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, Randi and Gregory moved to southern Oregon where they live today. They have four children -- Lily, Kate, Emma and Quinn.
