Later Ponch discovers that Getraer has bought the boat, and angrily accuses him of "buying my boat", Getraer offers to split it 1/3 each.

Jon and Ponch are assigned to the weigh station and one truck is overweight, after the people in the truck beat up another man and make a run for it, Jon and Ponch take of their weigh station clothes and jump on there powerful bikes and give chase..

They capture them on a bridge, and then notice a car about to go over a cliff with a woman and little girl inside, our heroes without a thought for their own safety manage to get both the people to safety again, watched by the weigh station sarge, who impressed offers them a permanent position, Jon and Ponch are thrilled but their hearts belong to the highways and they refuse the job.

After the weeks work Jon, Ponch, Joe head of to the lakes with their boat, but someone forgot to fix the hole and so as Ponch jumps in the boat it starts to sink. Ponch tries to throw everything out before ripping of his T-shirt and giving up, he then holds out his hands for Jon and Joe to help him out of the sinking boat, they take Ponch's hands then decide to let him go, as the music indicates the end, Ponch makes a splash as he falls back in the water.
