13. One Two Many - 5 January 1978. A woman is stopped by a fake CHP officer, who is very rude to her. Going on later he fails to stop as a woman is giving birth in her car.. Jon and Ponch turn up on the scene and Jon delivers the baby and is happy, but they are brought back down to earth by Getraer who tells Jon that he has been reported for being rude and suggestive to woman he has stopped. Jon protests his innocence, of course this is not our own Jon this is the fake CHP officer who just happens to look a bit like Jon... Meanwhile Jon who is upset about this mistaken identity vows to Ponch he will get him. Later as Jon and Ponch enjoy a night out they see a woman being hassled by the fake CHP officer, they decide to have a look, the officer says she is resisting arrest and Jon and Ponch try to help, as they are talking it through a LAPD officer arrives and the fake CHP officer speeds of unnoticed, they all then realise that this was the fake CHP officer, Ponch then drives the shaken woman home. Later there is trouble on the highway which includes a train blocking traffic, while Ponch is in the train he spots the fake CHP officer and Jon and Ponch give chase; the fake officer crashes and his game is up, he is arrested, Jon now feels happier that it is all over. Ponch's motorhome is in the garage and Jon and Ponch decide to go to pick it up but it is not ready, Jon cannot stand Ponch living with him anymore as he likes to sleep with loud music on, resulting in Jon spending the night with a neighbour, so Jon decides that he is going to sleep in the garage in Ponch's motorhome, as the music arrives to spell the end we see Jon giving a very happy Ponch the keys to his car and home, all Jon wants is a peaceful nights sleep. *** Blooper *** * In "One Two Many" Ponch
and Jon step out of the car where they have helped with a labour;
you then see Ponch standing without his sunglasses in the pocket
of his shirt. Two seconds later all of a sudden they're back however,
but only to disappear again in the next scene. |
