Later the CHP receive a call regarding a helicopter crash on the freeway, thinking it is a hoax only Jon and Ponch respond, after they arrive they see that its for real they call ambulance and back up, in the helicopter is blood that is being delivered to hospital for a transfusion on a little boy, Jon and Ponch race across town to get it to the hospital just in time to save his life.

Later another hoax call is made and the tracer system is in full swing, picking up the true box number of the call Jon and Ponch race to that box in time to see the hoaxer driving away, they catch him and he threatens to throw himself of the bridge, but gentle persuasion from Ponch and he is captured and arrested.
