Wes Miller, Jon’s nephew, has hooked up with a boy who likes to take cars for joy rides. Jon catches them and arrests Wes. It is a misdemeanour but it scares him enough he will never do it again.

Ponch has sold his motor home and has rented an apartment down by the marina but before he can move in, it gets flooded. The landlord lets him use a much bigger, nicer apartment. Ponch knows he really cant afford it but it is so nice and he has a really nice neighbour so he passes on getting a car so he can rent the apartment.

A movie stunt car has been stolen and is being used in diamond robberies. Cindy Kahill has figured out how they are escaping and a special unit is set up to catch them.

The show ends with Ponch having a house warming at his new apartment.
