2 men are having an argument and one of
them becomes very angry and storms off, as he is driving along the
freeway he starts to crash into the other cars.
After causing lots of damage he finally crashes
himself, Jon and Ponch arrive on the scene and the man still angry
goes up onto the bridge then threatens to throw himself off, in
doing this the television crew channel 3, named the disaster squad
egg him on to jump.
Ponch tries to stop the crew leader doing
this and in the process the man falls down, as Ponch helps him up
Ponch warns him to shut his mouth or end up in the slammer, this
is all recorded.
At Central Jon and Ponch take home a little
lost boy called Chris who is 4 years old, at Chris's home Jon takes
a shine to his mum.
Back on the freeway an accident happens as
the disaster squad show up they realise that they are not getting
a good story so decide to make one happen, in doing so the channel
3 man causes an explosion, which in the process injures the camera
man.
Later as Jon and Ponch go off duty they take
Chris and his mum out to the dirt track, while Ponch entertains
Chris, Jon romances Chris's mum.
During a race Chris falls from his bike after
a shove from another rider, angry Chris says he is going to hit
the other boy, Ponch teaches Chris about self respect and that it
is not good to hit people.
Later on the TV crew play the incident of
the angry man on the bridge on the television, the version has been
edited to look like a case of police brutality on Ponch's part,
Chris who is watching this at the time gets very upset with Ponch
and runs of on his own motorbike. Chris rides on the streets then
further on he falls into the canal, Ponch tries to save him and
ends up falling in himself, as Jon pulls them out of the river the
disaster squad turn up, the man turns nasty again towards Ponch
and this time his own team turn on him and makes him admit that
he edited the tape on the TV, this is all caught on camera.
Back at the dirt racing and Ponch rides
with Chris and Jon talks about the future with Chris's mum, and
it looks rosy for them, well for that episode anyway
