61. Jailbirds

Jon and Ponch are found guilty of contempt when they refuse to name and informant in court.

Cruising on the highway on the way to court, a speeding car goes past them, they give chase, after a while the car smashes into a tree, while arresting the two men the tree starts to fall down on Ponch, as Jon yells for him to watch out, doing so Ponch pushes the man he was arresting out of harms way, to this the man makes his bid for freedom, but is caught by a fast Jon, and arrested.

Later in court Jon is on the witness stand, he is asked to name him informant, to which he refuses, he is then arrested himself and put in jail.

Meanwhile Ponch goes to see the informant to ask him if he can name him in court, the man says no he does not want to be named, so Jon will have to spend the night in jail.

Back at central Jon has been released from jail and the spirits of everyone is high, then Getraer breaks the news that they have to go back to court again.

On the way to court a speeding car causes a truck full of manure to swerve making the manure unstable, then two boys in a truck cruise past the truck and cut the manure rope free, leaving the manure to spill over the freeway, and when Jon and Ponch walk up beside it and it all spills over them. In court Ponch has to explain why they smell so bad.
On the witness stand Ponch refuses to name the informant, and is held in contempt, Jon takes the stand and again refuses and is also held in contempt.
