The 2 boys have won an essay competition and were waiting to claim their prize, when they sneak into the back of the Rolls when it is stolen, the criminals clearly shocked at their passengers, but have no desire to set them free, Jon and Ponch chase from a safe distance, but they miss a switch in the cars as the car leaves the freeway, they then realise that they are tailing the wrong rolls.

The boys decide that they need to go to the bathroom so the criminals stop at the petrol station, as the Rolls leaves they are spotted by Bonnie who alerts the other CHP Officers, Bonnie starts to follow the Rolls.

Jon and Ponch arrive at the gas station that they stopped at and Ponch speaks with the mechanic who is Spanish and Ponch takes the mechanics car and overalls and sets off to find the rolls.

The kidnappers change cars in an alley, Ponch uses his very loud horn to alert the other CHP officers to his whereabouts.

The kidnappers go into a car wash, but Ponch is on their tail, Ponch continues to chase them and he makes them crash, and then all the other CHP officers turn up and the arrest is made and the boys are safe.
