64. Offroad

Jon and Ponch enter an off road race but they dont realise that 2 other men are using the race as a cover to get some stolen gold coins, at the start of the race the official checks of Jon's car are over and the race gets to a start, but there is a lot of bad feeling with all the competitors.

One lady motorcyclist falls and another helps her causing another car to crash stop, Jon and Ponch also crash, the other driver says to Jon and Ponch that if they help him he will help them, they agree to help the other car, and when they have helped him he returns to his car to continue the race without helping Jon and Ponch, this makes Jon so mad, but he calms down when Ponch shows him that they are losing oil and will soon break down again.

While Jon and Ponch free their car they discover a bomb under the ground and call it in.

The car that was losing oil comes to a stop the man argues with his girlfriend and leaves her stranded.
Jon and Ponch find her and she explains to them what has been going on with the gold, Jon tells her that they are police officers and that they will help, Ponch radios into the officials desk which is taken by Harlan, but he has trouble working out all the police numbers, and gets all confused.

Jon and Ponch catch the crooks and they are arrested while Jon and Ponch finish the race, but not before that bomb explodes and frightens them all silly.
