68. Nightingale

Jon and Ponch try to find a mysterious female doctor, who is treating accident victims and then disappearing.

A man driving his car on the freeway drops his cigarette, then crashes his car.
A woman stops to help at the road side and she has to perform a small operation fast to help the man breath. Jon and Ponch arrive at the scene and the woman asks Jon to assist her with the operation which he does. Then after they saved the man she quickly leaves.

Jon and Ponch meet up with Getraer and Grossie at the food stop, and Grossie is eating well.
Meanwhile a young couple are leaving home together.

Back at central Getraer tells Jon and Ponch that the Dr at the roadside, does not work at any of the hospitals.

Later back on the freeway the young runaways van breaks down, Jon and Ponch see them on the roadside and stop to help they then get a lift back to central with Baricza.

Fritz assists a man who's car has just been stolen, Grossie spots the car and radio's it in, Jon and Ponch look out for the car from the bridge, they spot it and give chase, the car causes an accident including a man on a bike who is badly injured with a ruptured spleen, the mystery lady Dr appears and again performs a roadside operation and saves him life, meanwhile Jon is still chasing the stolen car and catches up with it and makes the arrest.

Later while on duty Jon and Ponch visit the woman Dr she explains that she is not a Dr or a Nurse, she says that she wanted to go to medical school but was too old, and she never performs any operation that she knows that she is not capable to do.

Back on the freeway the two runaways run off again, this time the girls father sees them and gives chase, on the freeway they crash and the car catches fire, the dad tries to get them out but can't, Jon and Ponch arrive and smash the glass and get them out just as the car explodes. The Nightingale tells Jon and Ponch that she is now a legal Dr and she has passed her test.
