Jon and Ponch are on patrol and at that time they pass a store that is being robbed.
Still on patrol they pass a girl who falls off her bike, then 2 boys shoot past her while she is on the floor, one hits her bike, one of the boys stops to apologise, while the other speeds on, Ponch chases him but he looses him as the store robbers block his path with their lorry.

At briefing Getraer tells Ponch that the lorry he saw was actually being used in the robbery of the store.

Later Ponch talks to the go carting kids about the dangers of go carting on the roads, when Ponch leaves he sees the clothes that belong to the go carter that he was chasing the day before, so now he knows who it was he was chasing. But that didn't stop the boy from doing it again as he goes of onto the road again causing traffic chaos, Ponch sees him and tries to shout to him to stop, but he doesn't so Ponch gives chase, once again a crash is causes, and the car goes into the water, Ponch jumps in to save the woman in the cars life.

Later Jon and Ponch take the kids to the race track so that they can race there safe, while there Ponch challenges the Fire man to a race around the track - Ponch looses, Ponch then organises a "car wash" to sponsor the go carting, Harlan spills water over Bonnie and then there is a water fight going on with the CHP and the kids.

The race later between the CHP and Fire DPT goes ahead and the CHP win that.

The robbers start again to rob a store but this time they are caught as Baricza gets suspicious and calls in to check out the store, he gives chase and the robbers throw all the furniture out of the back of the lorry to try to loose the CHP, Jon and Ponch chase and catch and make the arrest.
