71. Sick Leave

Jon and Ponch face a troubling period when one of there fellow officers is diagnosed with a serious terminal illness.

Jon and Ponch and Andy another CHP officer are enjoying lunch when they have to end it to case a speeding car, Andy chase the car fast and dangerously which makes Ponch fall of his bike, Ponch is ok not hurt and Andy carries on chasing the speeder.

At central Andy is sorry for putting Ponch's life at risk and breaks down and cries.

Later Andy is watching a drugs drop, and chases the motor cyclist in his cruiser, he looses him.

Back at central Andy collapses and is taken to hospital, as Jon and Ponch arrive at the hospital to visit Andy is just leaving at the time and says that he is ok and nothing wrong he is just overworked.

During another freeway mad chase where Andy is accused by Jon for putting peoples life at risk, Jon and Ponch decide to go to the hospital to talk to Andy's Doctor, along with Andy's son, to try to find out what is really happening with Andy. The Doctor tells them that Andy has a Brain tumour and that he is going blind and that it is terminal.
Later Jon and Ponch confront Andy, he gets angry and tells them that he doesn't want to take time of he wants to make the most of the time that he has left to work in the force.

Later 2 cars are bashing each other on he freeway Andy takes of Followed by Jon and Ponch, one car flips and crashes over onto a shallow water bed, Andy runs to get the girls out of the car and as he runs away with her in his arms the car explodes Andy falls to the ground as he is hit by flying shrapnel, and his dying words are "if i could save one life then it would be worth it"
