Ponch and Bobby chase a car which crashes, involved in the crash is a van which is carrying a robot, the robot was thrown from the van, but other than its arm has come off looks ok, and is about to be delivered to the CHP.

Meanwhile 2 men are stealing from the electronic depo, they are stealing some boxes, on their getaway they make an unsafe lane change and are stopped by 2 female freeway agents, they agents call the CHP for back up and Ponch and Bobby turn up, they tell the woman that they cannot arrest them because they didn't see what happened, but Ponch books them for a broken tail light anyway.

Back at Central the robot impresses everyone, Bruce demonstrates that if you put your hand onto the robots screen it will tell you who you are.

The robot loos at Kathy and we see that there is clearly some damage done to it during transit, and the car accident.

Later the robot is taken to the hospital and onto the children's ward, after a while it starts to go strange and starts smashing things up, then it says that in one minute it will blow up, acting very quick Ponch defuses the robot with no seconds to spare.
Everyone is safe.
