At the supermarket carpark 2 men are looking for open cars to steal the contents. Ponch and Bobby ride into the carpark and as they chase the men, Ponch has to avoid hitting 2 girls swerves and crashes, he is taken to hospital unconcious, but makes a recovery, and after a few days is getting very fed up at home, so goes into work and asks Getraer for work, Getraer assigns him to the brat patrol much to Ponch's amusement.

After a brief talking to Ponch takes the brat patrol to do some "real police work", at the supermarket they are on watch out for the car thieves, after some mistakes they actually spot the real thieves and with the help of Kathy, Bobby and Ponch, they catch them. Team work..

Meanwhile Kathy and Bruce are trying to sort out the narcotics on the estate.

Later at Central one of the brat girls Becky Lou makes a pass at Ponch asking him "how about you take me to your place" Ponch replies "how about I forget you just said that", she feels sad at being let down, and Ponch feels sad that he had to do that to her.

Later after work Ponch is planning a nice evening with his girlfriend, when Getraer shows up with the brat patrol, they had decided to follow the LAPD on a narcotics bust and ended up being seen and caught, Getraer says that ponch must look after them for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile back at the estate a narcotics deal is taking place, Kathy and Bruce follow the man to his hideout then burst in and arrest him.

At the end the brat patrol are to have another relay race with the LAPD, and this time they win.
